I recently stumbled upon a video on how Bob Staake creates a illustration. He is an illustrator, designer, and author altogether. While we’re in the heaven of Adobe CS3, this guy still uses Photoshop 3. I myself never even touched Photoshop 4. He’s probably the only guy I know who carved a shape of a character out of a negative space.

So the next time you got your hands on Photoshop for half an hour and call yourself a designer, please do think again.
